Dear Business Partners
October 8, 2024
MIYAKI CO., LTD.
Head of Security
Nobuo Sakaguchi
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patronage.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the suspension of production.
In our 13th report dated September 30, we reported that some information had been leaked.
We are still examining the details of the leak. We sincerely apologize for the long time it has taken us. We ask for your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the accuracy of the leaked information.
However, it is still expected to take several months to bring the external network back to normal (before the incident).
We are working hard to improve the security level and return to normal operations in February and March of next year, adopting security proposals from forensic companies one by one. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
At this point, we have not been able to open all e-mails (sending and receiving are possible), but we are working on opening e-mails for each business unit, so we would appreciate it if you could wait for a while.
(Continued request)
As we have informed you, our e-mail is still restricted to send and receive.
We are proceeding to open the network sequentially after confirming its safety. The network also prohibits external connections.
Please do not answer any suspicious e-mails or phone calls (incoming calls from unregistered numbers).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
We will report on our website when the security level has been improved and the operation is in the state it was before the incident, as a declaration that the incident response is over.
We respectfully ask that you understand the above (do not respond to suspicious e-mails or suspicious phone calls) and please be aware of this.
