地域との縁に感謝しながら企業として恩返しをしたい

Representative Director, Miyaki Co. Kazuhiko Miyaki

We have a history of more than 90 years since our foundation in Hamamatsu and a history of over 40 years since becoming a stock company. We realize every day that we have been fostered by local communities.

The name Kashima Coat is considered a synonym for our company and is derived from Sokonomitachi Shrine, which is located near our company. At this shrine, Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto, who is also the deity of Kashima Jingu, is enshrined and is affectionately known as Okashima-sama by the local people. When our former president asked the shrine whether we could borrow the name of the deity for the lubricating anodized coating that we developed independently, the shrine consented willingly to our request. Since then, we have been invited every year to the shrine ceremony and have maintained a good relationship.

We hope to continue to cherish the bonds with local communities. What we can do for local communities is to simply focus our humble efforts on the employment of excellent local human resources and actively participate in events to support the local communities. However, we hope to continue such activities in a state of constant gratitude.

当社はまだ成長の途上 今後はより強固な組織に

I was born in Hamamatsu City and lived in Mishima City while attending high school and university.
After I had graduated, I was employed at a copying machine manufacturer, which was unrelated to Miyaki, and worked in the Netherlands.
Afterwards, I joined Miyaki as a regular employee, which made me form a connection to Hamamatsu again. When I joined Miyaki, it was indeed the world of craftworkers, where I learned techniques by watching earnestly with my own eyes.
When I made an effort to develop and improve the system at the worksite, it was a continuing process of trial and error, and I had a difficult time.

Our new headquarters building was completed in 1998, and since the days when we joined the membership of Hamamatsu Nishi Techno Association, the scale and the methods of doing business have changed greatly, and I realize that we have climbed the steps to grow as a company.
Additional human resources with excellent talent have joined us, and because they were committed to improvements in quality control and the support of corporate management, we have become the company that we are now.

Whenever we faced difficulties, our employees revealed their fundamental strengths to overcome challenges. Our current theme is to strengthen our organization to be a stronger company while preserving our traditions. This is because I believe that people can demonstrate their abilities more effectively only under a systematized environment that works effectively on a daily basis.
