History

1930s
  • April 1933:
    Tonakichi Miyaki founded an ironworks in Tenno-cho, Hamamatsu City.
1970s
  • January 1976:
    Established Miyaki Iron Works Limited; launched the Anodizing Business Division at the Kurematsu Plant.
1980s
  • May 1981:
    Developed hard lubricating anodized coating in partnership with Fujikura Electric Wire Corporation; branded as Kashima Coat®.
  • November 1981:
    Established Miyaki Co., Ltd. to scale anodizing operations.
1990s
  • October 1998:
    Opened the new Main Plant; began integrated operations with the Kurematsu facility.
2000s
  • March 2004:
    Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
  • March 2007:
    Completed construction of Plant No. 2.
  • April 2009:
    Achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification.
2010s
  • June 2011:
    Opened the Tokyo Office.
